Oxidizing is the second step in BioGuard chlorinating pool care Programs. Oxidizers "shock" the water and chemically destroy the organic contamination introduced by bathers and the environment. Contaminants enter the pool constantly through swimmers and the environment. Shocking keeps the water clear and sparkling.

BioGuard® Lite®
BioGuard Lite® is the preferred oxidizer. It offers 4 products in 1. Pool owners can shock the pool and return to the water 15 minutes after use.
• Multi-purpose, 4-in-1 product oxidizes, clarifies, buffers and is also a flocculent
• Unique blend of oxidizing and clarifying agents to restore water clarity
• Buffers help maintain proper water balance
• Flocculent binds together small suspended particles so they sink to the pool bottom for easy removal
• Clarifying agents aid the filter in removing small suspended particles
• Dissolves almost instantly with no pre-dissolving needed
• Destroys chloramines that can cause musty odors
• pH neutral
• For use in all pool types
• Makes maintenance a simple weekly process

 

Burn Out® WP
This shock product is used specifically for white plaster (gunite) pools. It needs to be pre-dissolved before application. This will prevent the product from accumulating on the bottom of the pool which can cause staining.
• Specially formulated for white plaster pools
• Eliminates bather contaminants such as suntan oils, cosmetics, urine, etc.
• Keeps water clear and sparkling
• Destroys unpleasant "chlorine-like" odors
• Comes in easy-to-use, pre-measured 1 lb. bags for proper dosage and freshness
• No measuring or mixing

 

 

Burn Out 35
This product is designed for all pool types. This is different from other chlorinating shock products because it dissolves almost instantly and does not affect calcium hardness. That means Burn Out 35 won't cloud water and is ideal for hard water areas.
